TRYOUTS & ASSESSMENT DATES

We will be holding tryouts/assessments for new players who want to join our teams, as well as for current players to help us place them in the right team. During these sessions, we will assess not only each player’s skills but also their attitude, effort, and ability to listen and work well with teammates. Good communication and being a positive team player are just as important to us!

We encourage players to attend at least one of the sessions, but the more you attend, the better! This will help us see your skills and attitude across different sessions.

If the listed tryout dates don’t work for you, don’t worry! You can still join one of our term training sessions to be assessed there, scroll to bottom of the page for info on this.

Tryout and Assessment Dates

Mark your calendars! Our official tryout and assessment dates are set for April 5th and 6th. We encourage all players to attend at least one session to allow us to accurately assess their skill levels.

Here’s the schedule:

5th April

  • 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: U11-U14 @ Bankstown Basketball Stadium (Court 6 & 7)
  • 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: U15-U19 @ Bankstown Basketball Stadium (Court 6 & 7)

6th April

  • 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM: U13-U19 @ PCYC Auburn (Court 1 & 2)

Team Structure

Depending on the age group and the number of teams in each competition, we aim to create one Premier Team for each age group, which will be our most competitive team placed in the highest division. All other teams will be balanced, grouping players with similar skill levels together to foster growth and teamwork.

Why Attend?

Attending our tryouts and assessments is crucial for your player’s development. It allows us to understand their strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring they are placed in a team that matches their skill level. This not only enhances their experience but also promotes a positive and competitive atmosphere.

If You Can't Attend the Tryouts...

No problem! You’re welcome to attend one of our ongoing training sessions for an assessment. Please attend the session that corresponds with your player’s age group to allow us to assess their skills properly.
